The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) informed: On the night of Me’raaj, I approached my Lord and I “was at a distance of two bows or nearer still” (Surah Najm (53):9). He spoke to me between the two Aqeeq (agate) mountains and said:

O Ahmad! I created you and Ali from My own light, and I created these two mountains from the light of Ali’s face. I swear by My Magnificence that I have created these two mountains to be a sign that is used to identify the believers. And I swore on Myself that I forbid Hell on those who wear the Aqeeq ring on their hands and follow Ali b. Abi Talib.
