Then he (a.s.) continued: "May Allah have mercy on Abbas. He sacrificed himself over his brother, until his arms were severed. Allah replaced his severed hands with a pair of wings, with which he soars in Paradise along with the angels just like (his uncle) Jafar b. Abi Taalib."

Kerala to probe ‘Taliban’ courts

The Kerala government has instituted a probe into the “Taliban-model” Islamist courts that run as a parallel judicial system in the state. The decision follows an attack on a Malayalam lecturer in which his right hand was chopped off — allegedly on the orders of such a court.
