One day the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) was seated along with Hazrat Ali (a.s.), Hazrat Fatimah (s.a.), Imam Hasan (a.s.) and Imam Husain (a.s.), when he informed (regarding Hazrat Fatimah (s.a.)) when she (Fatimah) rises in her prayer niche 70,000 proximate angels send salutations upon her. They address her like Maryam was addressed O Fatimah! Surely Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the world (Surah Ale Imran (3): 42)
